Inspired by traders' rice bowls used on ships during the Edo period, our Hasami Ware plates modernizes both function and tradition. This square plate is ideal as a small bowl for pickles and condiments. It can also be used to hold soy sauce or gyoza sauce.
Hasami, Japan is known for its rich tradition of quality white porcelain. Made of Amakusa ceramic stone, Hasami-Ware is characterized by its transparent white color and traditional pattern designs passed through generations.
The Horizontal Stripes pattern features thin squares that ripple around the plate.
